Ancient Chinese Gender Prediction Methods Are Still Practiced

by Danni Torelle

Ancient Chinese gender prediction methods are still practiced. They are considered very accurate by many who use them. Some claim they have a ninety-three percent accuracy rate in correctly predicting the sex of a newborn baby in advance.

These methods have been used for about seven hundred years. They use the mother's age and the month in which she conceives to try to determine what sex the child will be when he or she is born. People using this method will try to conceive at a certain time if they want a boy and at a different time if they are hoping to give birth to a baby girl.

Apparently, the gender chart was discovered in a royal tomb. The woman's Chinese lunar year when she got pregnant and when she conceived are taken into account. There are many charts available to calculate this for you as it is quite a complicated process.

People who rely on the chart as an iron-clad guarantee could be disappointed. The chart can predict incorrectly. This can be frustrating to parents if they were convinced that they knew what gender the child was going to be and it was inaccurately predicted. For a more scientific method, a sonogram is generally regarded as accurate for forecasting the gender of the child.

There are various websites where one can go to fill out their information. This can then turn into a prediction of what your baby's gender will be. There are parenting and pregnancy websites to assist with this. You can also have a look on social media websites to see if there are calendars or charts available on there as well.

There is not much scientific evidence to support this way of planning one's gender before conception or finding out what you are having while you are already pregnant. One's hopes should not be in this sex predicting only, but also in the mere joy of having a child no matter what it turns out to be. This is the happiness and sacrifice of being a parent so it would be good to not obsess about what you are having, but just be grateful you are pregnant and love your child no matter what it is. Many couples cannot procreate so gratitude is one way of seeing the situation more lightly.

One way that some parents handle their childbirth is to not find out at all what sex they are having, but being surprised is part of the fun of being a new parent. If one is trying to buy clothing for your new baby and you are not sure what it is going to be, you could just buy green or yellow clothes until you know what you are having.

Chinese gender prediction methods are not scientifically proven formulas for determining what sex a baby will be when he or she is born. For accurate information, a sonogram is likely to yield more definitive results. Your gynecologist can share the sonogram information with you if you feel you want to know the sex of the future child before giving birth. The ancient methods are still popular in some areas or used for fun, but sonograms are more apt to yield accurate results.
