Battlestar Galactica Adventures Have Been Undertaken By Millions Of Fans Who Have Enjoyed Them

Glen A. Larson wrote the original American science fiction franchise in 1978 that started as Battlestar Galactica, the original television series, which was followed in 1980 with a sequel TV series. Throughout the years until the present time it was resurrected and remade into multiple mini-series that have evolved since 2003.

Together with the television productions, Battlestar Galactica has growninto the various entertainment industry forms such as book adaptations, novels, comic books, board games as well as the ever-popular video games. The various types of entertainment productions all evolve around the premise that located in a distant part of our galaxy, a human civilization exists on a group of planets referred to as the Twelve Colonies. The ancestral world of Kobol is said to be where these beings migrated from, and for decades these Twelve Colonies have been at war with the Cylons, who are a cybernetic race of beings who have been attempting to rid the universe of the human race through extermination.

The Twelve Colonies experience a massive attack from the Cylons who are assisted by a human named Baltar. The twelve colonies are destroyed by this attack along with the Colonial Fleet of starships that serve as their protection resulting in virtually their entire population being destroyed. In a last ditch effort, the few remaining survivors board the scattered available spaceships that are viable to retreat into outer space in an effort to escape. The entire Colonial battle fleet was wiped out with the only exception that remained being the Battlestar Galactica which was a gigantic battleship and spacecraft carrier similar to what we know as aircraft carriers.

As the story continues to develop, under the leadership of Commander Adama, the massive spacecraft carrier along with the pilots who acted as Viper fighters lead the search party made up of the fugitive fleet of survivors in an attempt to find the fabled colony known as Earth, which is actually the thirteenth colony. Game playing individuals find the adventures of Battlestar Galactica accomodatge challenging scenarios as they assume the roles of either Cylon or Human characters involved in the various plots.

Interacting with their favorite characters can easily immerse players in the exciting universe commandeering fighter ships and taking part in action packed tactical space fighting while completing challenging missions. A huge variety of offensive and defensive systems are employed to assist in the battle between the Humans and Cylons forces in the search for the legendary home of the Thirteenth Tribe of Man commonly known as Earth as it is pursued by the civilian ships.
