Although most people think that taking a picture is just as simple as pointing and shooting, there really is an art form to it. Typically, your photos never look quite as good as you imagined they would. However, once you learn the proper techniques, it really is simple to take great pictures.

Framing is a very important aspect of photography. To remove things that aren't relevant to your subject matter, zoom into its focal point. This can keep your pictures from feeling cluttered, busy, and distracting to the eye.

When you are going through your photographs and picking the ones that you want to show to others, be sure to pick the cream of the crop. Do not show every photograph you have ever taken or too many of the same subject matter. Seeing the same things repeatedly can become boring.
