A few years back I was employed for a manager for a good sized local drug store that's broken into by precisely what I call, a modern day ninja. I received a telephone from our alarm company at 2am in the morning and was told that store's motion sensors had been triggered. Although it hasn't been very long before I arrived, the thief had been long gone and properly got away with some prescription medicines that were locked in our pharmacy.

Simple "slight of hand" techniques would distract a person's attention and were often used to setup a theft process or "pickpocket" important solutions. Also, items like flash bombs (who were made with gun powder) were used to distract or disorient their enemy when coming up with their escape.
Although ninjas were determined about not being called or labeled as "thieves", they did in truth prove themselves to be the best in "stealing" together with gathering information. It is believed that they were the master pickpockets health of their day and could skillfully distract somebody to not realize that a something like a strategy map or document was being taken right from their own possession.
