The Funny Gifts Your Family Can Enjoy

It's not uncommon, at least in my household, for funny gifts to make their presence felt. During birthdays or even anniversaries that my parents celebrate, at least a lighthearted greeting card is given so that the mood itself isn't so deep with emotion or romance. These kinds of gifts, at least in my opinion, always have a place within a family setting. There are some great ideas to use when it comes to funny gifts and here are only a few.
As far as greeting cards are concerned, some of the best ones that can be considered funny gifts are the sound-activated ones. Anyone who's ever stepped into retail, for instance, knows exactly what these are about. For example, a greeting card could have a graduation-like design on the front and you might notice there's a bit more bulk to it than normal. Like some of the dolls one could find on I Am a Stuffed Animal, there is audio to be had. The graduation card could potentially greet you with the <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jsiXcQIHRQ/">sounds</a> of the Hallelujah chorus before you know it.
Another <a href="http://www.usda-ethics.net/rules/holiday-guidance.htm/">funny gift</a> idea, which one that has become a popular kitchen or diner piece, is the Chia Pet. I'm more than certain people are aware of what is essentially a tree inside of a pot to look like an animal. In recent years, though, these items have become rather eccentric in design. If you have come across a Spongebob Squarepants or Barack Obama one in your time, just know that you're not alone and that you might have come across yet another humorous gift idea for a family member.
One gift that has a widespread appeal in terms of its audiences has to be the Big Mouth Billy Bass. I remember this particular toy being very popular during the 90's and I'm certain people today recall it fondly if it's brought up in conversation. This is true because there's not much else you can say when it comes to a mounted fish that can sing with the push of a button. I will say, in this fish's defense, that if I can't remember "Take Me to the River" by Al Green without the Big Mouth popping into mind, that's a gift doing a different kind of good job.
The idea of funny gifts has a wide collection of groups that it appeals to and they can range from simple to complex. A greeting card is such a simple idea but it's still rather appropriate for any scenario if you're able to shop around for the right card. Novelties along the lines of the Chia Pet can be compared to something like the Big Mouth Billy Bass as well. While one person may choose one over the other, it doesn't make it any less lovable in their eyes. A laugh will still be guaranteed if you are able to tailor the gift-giving to the relative in question.
