Makeup Essentials - Makeup Brushes for your Eyes

If you are a professional makeup artist, or you just love to get creative and apply your own makeup, there are many tools needed to create the look you are going for. Makeup brushes are a must for your makeup collections, but with so many options and types of brushes, how do you know which ones are essential?
There are essentially four main brushes necessary to add to your collection of makeup brushes. The first essential brush is a flat stiff brush. This brush is used to pack on the pigment so that you can transfer to your lids. The brush is flat so that you can lay on a thick layer. The brush is stiff so that it can pick up lots of pigment. There are many brushes on the market, and you can expect to spend anywhere from $5 to $30 on a flat stiff eyeshadow brush. Price isn't always an indicator of a great brush as some of the less expensive brushes work just as good as the more expensive ones.
The next essential makeup brush for your eyes is a stiff dome brush. This brush is used for creating fabulous smokey eyes, and for feathering darker eyeshadow colors. A stiff dome brush is also used to apply shadow to the crease of the eye, and a dome brush is great also because it picks up a lot of color.
Similar the the stiff dome brush is the soft dome brush. The soft dome brush is another essential eye makeup brush. The soft dome brush is used to blend softer looks. This brush can be used for everything the stiff dome brush is used for, however it picks up less pigment, so you will be creating a softer look since you will be applying less color. This brush is also great at applying highlighter underneath your brows. The soft dome brush can also be used to apply concealer underneath the eyes.
Another essential eye makeup brush is the pencil brush. The pencil brush is used to smudge eyeliner, and is essential in creating the smokey eye look. The smaller tip of a pencil brush can be used to apply a more precise look.
The last essential eye makeup brush is the angled eyeshadow brush. The angled eyeshadow brush is great for applying eyeshadow to the corners of the eyes. It is also great for applying color all over the lid, and especially helpful for applying eyeshadow into the creases of the eye. The angled eyeshadow brush is a must have to create the famous cat eye look.
Makeup brushes can come in handy when creating stylish and professional looks. You do not have to spend an arm and a leg on the above mentioned makeup brushes. Brushes are quite comparable and a lesser expensive brush is capable of giving you the same look as a more expensive brush.
