Outdoor Yard Games That Entertain

Whether an individual is gathering friends and family for a barbecue, or just hanging out and having a good time, it is good to have a few ideas to keep people entertained. Outdoor yard games are a fun and active way to keep both children and adults occupied. Engaging in a little friendly competition is always fun and usually successful.
One game that you can offer is cornhole. You will need two boards with small holes up towards the top. Set them up at an incline directly opposite, a quite a bit apart, from each other. Create two teams. Players from each team will toss each of four bean bags through the hole. If they make it, they will get three points. If they miss but it lands on the board, they will get one point. The first team to 21 points wins.
Ladder golf uses a stand made of PVC pipes and bolos. Bolos are basically two balls attached by a rope. The purpose is to wrap the bolo around one of three rungs. The top rung is worth three points, the middle is worth two and the bottom is worth one. The first team to 21 points wins.
In horseshoes, the goal again is to reach 21 points, to but to win the team must have at least a two point lead. Two stakes are set up 40 feet apart from each other and the opposing teams try and toss horseshoes around the stake. The closer they get to the stake, the more points they will receive.
Bocce ball is another game played between two separate teams. Each team has a set of four large balls. One person on one of the teams throws out a small ball, or pallino. A person from each team then tries to get one of the larger balls as close to it as possible. This continues in a specific manner until all balls have been tossed. The team with the closest ball to the pallino wins and gains points for each ball closer to the pallino than the opponent's closest ball.
A smart start up investor might seek to create a game using a paddle ball. This is not currently an option for you to offer to your outdoor guests. It could be a great idea and become highly successful, given the popularity of team games for the outdoors.
To help make a barbecue or gathering more fun, an individual could propose some healthy competition between friends or family. Outdoor yard games are beneficial for doing this. The necessary equipment can be found at many stores, or a person can even make it in some cases.
