Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance Preview

Metal Gear Rising was one of the greatest waits at Eurogamer Expo, probably a result of the reward for completing the actual demonstration in a quick amount of time or possibly since it was simply so amazing. Following a wait I was advised that We were required to finish the demonstration in fifteen minutes to receive a poster and i also had 20 mins while playing game overall. I was thrown in to a tutorial stage which didn't count towards my time frame. Walking around a well known VR simulation, I found out all about the blade mode, delaying time and cutting precisely. It had been very good fun having said that i got through the tutorial fairly quickly. Upon the cutscene launching I was informed that cutscenes measured towards my own time actively playing, a little disappointed We skipped the storyline and got on with the game play.
The controls were actually superbly fluid, quick plus worked well in conjunction with the game's hectic combat even though unfortunately the camera appeared to be difficult to manipulate. The games visuals appeared amazing, greater than Metal Gear Solid 4. Jogging through complexes and taking down adversaries was therefore much entertaining. Nevertheless what truly sticks out is definitely the precision cutting, allowing you to decrease time to dice an opponent to shreds or even deal additional damage to people that you can't merely slice up.
I eventually had reached the mechanized tiger-like boss scenario you have more than likely observed in trailers although I had breezed throughout the demo to this point, the boss demolished us over and over. What definitely irritated me personally, was deficiency of a dodge control key, you could ninja run but the phony camera can make it disheartening. Ideally in the meantime Platinum fixes the uncomfortable camera and gives an appropriate dodge mechanic. If they do, I could likely see this game being one of my personal video game titles of this year.
