Is Breastfeeding While Pregnant Ok?

by Shun Smith

It's definitely okay to carry on breastfeeding while pregnant. My friend found out shu was pregnant while her 9 month old used to be nursing.

He was still being so little and she didn't have any want to feed him formula, she really kept nursing. She didn't think with what it would caused by the infant that she was carrying. She simply knew She had an infant right this moment that necessary to eat.

I'm guessing you're in a similar situation.

Breastfeeding while pregnant.

Because you have your baby in your arms that should eat well now.

Our body is so amazing, because it already is aware that it is a possibility.

That you could be pregnant but still feeding another baby. So it's ready just for this situation! But there's something you need to know if you're going to continue breastfeeding while pregnant:

* Have a calcium mineral, preferably organic. If you take calcium, you're giving one's body extra calcium in order to keep you, the baby inside your nursing baby healthy. Choosing a calcium supplement is not necessary, but it helps prevent you from getting osteoporosis later on.

* Eat when you're hungry and drink when you're thirsty. I'm sure you are already aware this just by , nevertheless, you may be extra hungry and extra thirsty now. Don't bother about gaining weight, your body needs that fuel so that you can feed everyone. Pig out if you have to!

* Your nipples could become sore. My friend's nipples never became sore while she was breastfeeding while pregnant, however i know some mothers whom nipples became very sensitive whenever they became pregnant.

Just keep nursing, the sensitivity should go normal again after a while.

* Your milk production may decrease just a little. Her milk production did decrease while she was pregnant, but she thinks hers had more details on the truth that her baby started eating solids more and he was obviously a thumb sucker. In the event that your milk is decreasing, nurse baby often, especially on his demand. This can let your body are aware that you'll need more milk.

* It is frustrating occasionally. Your hormones are getting to be from wack. You're extremely sensitive, many times you n't want anyone touching you. After which here your infant is, crying, because he's hungry.

As well as you'll increase, then it'll be more frustrating trying to position your infant to nurse with your belly herniated.

Hang in there. My friend breastfed the full nine months that she was pregnant. As you grow bigger, you'll eventually have to find a posture that's comfortable so that you can nurse your baby in and breastfeeding while pregnant can become easier.

Baby will nurse regardless. They don't care, providing they're near to you and receiving milk.

When my friend was in full term pregnancy, the cradle hold position wasn't even a choice anymore. You can look at with all the laying down position or football position when you're breastfeeding while pregnant. Usually she would just sit on the couch and stand her son up alongside her or put him on his knees and permit him to bend down to nurse. It seemed to benefit him.

And be careful about sleeping while you're pregnant and nursing. Once she was pregnant, her son climbed around the couch where she was sleeping and stepped throughout her stomach wanting to nurse. She freaked completely out! She just knew her baby would definitely turn out deformed.

When she told her midwife about this, her midwife was so calm, she said the infant inside could be okay because all of the water surrounding him provides a cushion. She became so relieved. She must've scared her son half to death when she freaked out on that day, because he never climbed on her own stomach when she was pregnant again!

And the baby did appear unharmed.

So proceed to continue breastfeeding while pregnant. Feed your infant that's already next to you. The body will handle the rest.
