If you do not know that by enhancing the look of your garden you will also enhance how your home looks, you will now know. It is easier than you imagined enhancing your garden. With simple garden hooks, your deck or patio will be completely changed and beautiful. Once you have these devices, then you can hang on wind chimes, bird feeders or even lanterns. In the next section, you will discover some more ways in which you can use hooks to transform your garden and home generally.
When fixing a screw-in hook, first select a post which is wooden on which you install the hook. Mark the post using a pencil. Using a drill and drill bit, drill a 2-inch deep hole into the wooden post. The next step is to align the screw-in hook in the pilot hole you have made.
Twist the hook in a clockwise direction in order to thread the hook into the wooden beam. Turn the hook continuously till the threads are all inside the wood. You are supposed to stop turning it when the hook faces in the upward direction so that it is able to hold the hanging plantar firmly in place.
If perhaps you would want to use screw-mounted hooks, always begin by holding the hook against the chosen wooden post upon which you would like to fix it. With the use of a pencil, place a mark in the mounting holes within the hook. Next, with the use of a drill and a 1/16 inch drill bit, drill a 1inch-deep pilot hole at every pencil marked point. Drive the screws that are part of the screw mounted hanger into the mounting holes using a screw gun
The third type of hook is known as shepherd's hook. You will equally need to identify where you will have this hook and carefully mark it. Of course you need to be very certain that your location is the best choice. You may mark the location using your foot. Once done, you will then bring the shepherd's hook and place it parallel to the mark.
After this, twist the top end of the shepherd's hook so that it faces the direction that you would wish your plant to face. Try to push the hook's base into the ground by using your hands while at the same time pushing from the top side. After doing this, use your feet to press on the base, once it has entered the soil partially so that the base rests firmly on the ground.
The most important task you have with the hooks is that you must plan for them well. Plan in terms of where you want to have them in your garden. This is so since they are important additions to the garden and the home that brings along in-depth texture to the surrounding. Care should be taken especially when the plants are quite young and when they are too old and withering away.
