A beautiful showpiece like no other, interestingly from Lego

by Louise Talaska

LEGO is amongst the most identifiable brands when it becomes a subject of toys; since 1949 they have created numerous of fun puzzles that fulfill child's dreams, giving them the opportunity to let their creativity run wild with colorful iconic blocks of various sizes, shapes and colors.

Luckily for us, the Danish company has effectively passed the test of time and even today they are a primary player in the children's toy market, with one of their hottest sets being the LEGO 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge. This set recreates the storyline from the popular movie Pirates of the Caribbean and its famous and alluring, Queen Anne's Revenge. The vessel comes with LEGO collectible figurines Backbeared, Jack Sparrow, Angelica, the quartermaster plus two pirate miniatures.

This set features :

- 1097 pieces in total. - The set features a ship with large sails, spectacular fire lanterns, and canons. - Figures comprise of: Jack Sparrow, Angelica, Blackbeard, chef two pirate figures. - Detachable captain's quarters.

To begin, it ought to be noted that LEGO has always been known for the grade of their ship sets, and this one is clearly no exception. Each of the pieces are manufactured from high quality materials, keep in mind the small plastic blocks are seemingly unbreakable as they always were.

One of many beauties of Lego as a puzzle is that you have the versatility to determine how the result is going to be. Meaning that you're by no means expected to follow the instructions and can simply develop a little something of your own. Showcasing more than a thousand blocks, the LEGO 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge most certainly gives you the versatility to bring the story of Blackbeard and Jack Sparrow to life the way you like.

Those that want to create the ship the way it was intended to be done might be relieved to hear that you have seven unique bags effectively labelled 1 through 7, each one of them coming with specific instruction details. If you aren't trying to find something too challenging, this may be just the right fit. Obviously, one can always make the process challenging by dismissing the instructions and simply mixing up all of the pieces; so you are really the one deciding how challenging the full process will probably be.

Though as unique and appealing this set is, it's not necessarily a perfect childrens toy. First off, despite the fact that each piece is individually made from quality materials, the whole process of assembly can become irritating from time to time since there are some pieces which don't hold together very tightly and are easily disconnected. Now this can be very problematic if the kid thinks it's some indestructible ship, and it requires time to rebuild it if it gets deconstructed (not necessarily a good thing when kids become impatient). This especially goes for the masts as they can come off very easily, not to mention the captain's deck being a bit weak.

In general, it's only honest to state that LEGO has done a tremedous task with detailing this gorgeous set. It's truly a beautiful looking ship and will make a great gift for nearly anyone (not just kids). While it's true that the set does have some small negatives, we still still find it really worth buying if you are seeking to have Blackbeard's ship on display in your house or simply just looking to have fun with letting ideas go wild on a thousand LEGO pieces.
