If you have a garden, you know how much fun it can be, especially when you are a little creative with the design. Creating is basically what you are doing any time you plant a garden, because the plants you are growing are living. Your garden is about the plants, but you can choose which kind you want to plant, along with everything the surrounding area will be decorated with. Being creative with your garden can sometimes need fresh ideas, so here are some.
Lack of space is a common problem for many gardeners. There is a way to put your plants in a glass container or a terrarium, when the room for your garden is too small. A very attractive indoor garden can be a herb garden, which works well in a terrarium. When you have an environment that is enclosed, such as in this type of garden, the moisture will be retained, so watering the herbs often, won't be necessary. You could use several small glass containers, or a large terrarium, like an aquarium usually used for fish. When you are doing this kind of garden, it will be much easier to manage, when the herbs you are using are small.
Even on very cold days of the year, it can feel very tropical, like summer, when you are inside the greenhouse itself. A small room is adequate to create a greenhouse, yet it can be scaled to any size that you actually want. Once it is established, you can grow virtually anything that you want to within its confines. If you are looking for a very flexible garden design, Asian gardens are probably suited for you. Many people like to use Asian gardens and install a Koi pond which can be quite expensive depending on how you do it. People that enjoy Asian architecture or art will definitely want to consider getting an Asian garden. Bonsai tress are very popular in Asian gardens, as are Cherry trees, so these are some of the possibilities to consider. A pergola, a wooden structure for sitting, can also be placed in an Asian garden.
Another popular type of garden is the native garden for various reasons. These gardens can only have local plants in them. Instead of choosing plants brought in from Europe or other locations, you must choose plants that are thousands of years old, indigenous to the region specifically. This means that any plant brought in from Europe would not matter at all; you could only use North American plants in your garden. The advantage to this type of gardening is that these will be plants that will grow most easily in your area. If you're interested in this, you'll have to do some research to find out which plants are truly native to your region.
The term "creative gardening" doesn't mean the same thing to every gardener. However, the whole point is to have a healthy garden to which you've added your creative ideas and imagination to get something you truly love. Look in gardening books and online and you will see that the possibilities are endless. Your garden can be as individual and unique as you are.
