It is necessary to be mindful and vigilant with these parts to ensure that your machine will render its utmost performance.

When you notice that the blade of your Silhouette Cutter is no longer cutting images properly, then there must be something wrong with it. Probably the blade is not s harp anymore, so you have to change it out at once. In replacing the blade, you need to keep in mind that it is very sharp. Moreover, if this were not able to cut off any material appropriately, it still capable of hurting you. For this, you need to be extra careful when in replacing the blade of your cutter.

In replacing the blade, you need to do the following steps:

The most important thing you have to do in replacing the blade of your cutter is to take out the blade holder from the Silhouette Cutter. Next is to get the lid off the top of the holder and the blade. Place the cap in a very safe area to be sure that it does not get lost.

After removing the cap, you need to push the old blade out of the holder from the top. You can use a pen or a wire to push it out. When the old blade is already protruding out, slip it away from the holder. A plastic washer will come out along with the old blade. When the blade is already out, you may replace it with the new sharp blade. Do not replace the plastic washer since it is not necessary.

Intended for safety purposes, the new blade has a plastic cover on top be sure you take it off before placing it in to the blade holder. After removing the safety plastic cover of the new blade, you may now insert the new blade into the bottom of the blade holder. When the blade is properly inserted, you need to put the cap back at the top of the blade holder and tighten it. Once again, don't tighten the cap too closely as it might break the cap.
