As the name suggests the novel is primarily written for a more juvenile setting, this simply means that the writing aims to reach out to a youthful audience mainly compromising of teenagers and adolescents. Numerically these novel appeals to audiences of people aged between ten and nineteen.
This genre can be quite tantalizing and addictive. Often times it is filled with dramatic adventures that are able to capture a blossoming mind. It is no different from other novels as it is filled with elements such as plots, settings, it has a theme that is followed all trough, characters to make up the story and many others.
Characters based on this genre are always very memorable. This is because they always seem to be going through some form of teenage experience. Such experiences include first loves and first heart brakes, fun and more often than not the main character, usually a teenager, is usually doing something adventurous and illegal.
Anticipation always has to be built at one point or the other. Here readers cannot really tell what happens in the plot are eager to find out. This is what makes or breaks the book and it is very important. Language and themes have to be appropriate for such a young readership age.
Reading adds strength and character to a young mind. It is paramount that young readership be encouraged in order to discourage bad vices. Character is also built when teenagers read young adult fantasy, as it is from here that, they learn important life lessons such as courage and bravery.
