A lot of space MMO games, or massively multiplayer online games, grant players an opportunity to experience something totally different from standard, one-player games. Because you are likely to share missions with additional characters in your general vicinity, you can ask them to team up and support one another by means of the game's chat system that is built directly in to the user interface. Every time you find a player that has made a great team mate, you should take note of their name so that you can team up again later.
There are benefits to getting social beyond just overcoming your enemies; your allies can also trade items with you and help you level up certain skills. The principle game will likely consist of battles and item gathering, but there are a lot of fun things to do in the social elements of the game that you will enjoy if you take the time to do them.
