Introducing the gorgeous (and cunning) Queen Anne's Revenge
by Tony Cristal
For me personally I'm not a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean, nevertheless I do adore art and exquisite Lego sets, and this Queen Anne's Revenge by Lego has captured my entire attention.
To begin with, this ship is absolutely lovely. I cannot believe it's a Lego set. The vibrant colours are amazing, and the details are just excellent. From the high level design of the pirate ship to the miniscule details of suspending skeletons, this Lego model sits proud with impressive detail.
The box set alone arrives in 1097 bits of Lego blocks, which features impressive fire lanters, giant sails and canons. Characters include Jack Sparrow, Angelica, a chef, two pirates figures and naturally Blackbeared himself.
At first I put in a solid half a day crafting this set, and had a real excellent time. With thanks to the considerate creators at Lego, bags were easily labelled and building directions were clear.
What precisely also helps make the Queen Anne's Revenge so exclusively captivating is its quirk. Since it's by Lego, it can pull off appearing a bit cartoon-like, and that's what's so attention-grabbing concerning this. You'll get minifigures of Blackbeared, Jack Sparrow and even skeletons that's part of the beautiful model, it looks kiddishly unusual but sophisticated as well, which make it completely special.
It's without a doubt more designed for grown ups since it shouts art far more than play. It's excellent looking yet somehow a delicate showpiece that calls for good care, so it's perhaps not the right selection for that 4 year old little one who loves to throw around a truck. On the other hand it's fine for children over five since it will make a very good educational puzzle to boost attention and problem solving. However, for myself, I simply adore the style of it and simply just had to get my hands on one, easy as that.
Finally, please do not just take my words for it, head out and see it yourself. The set genuinely feels large and well worth the dime. Most shoppers have provided this a superb review, and you may conveniently see what some people have said about it on stores like Amazon. You will not be disappointed.
