When you take pictures of children, sometimes it's great to let them dictate the action while you relax and go with it. Children are just not designed to sit perfectly still and pose for photos, they prefer to be up and about and running around. Instead, take pictures of a child as he or she plays naturally.

To take great shots in low light, lower the aperture, or what is referred to as the f/stop setting. This will open the aperture as much as possible and let more light in when you take your picture.

Choose only the best photos to showcase or display. Do not display all of your pictures or too many on one topic. It is very tedious to see this type of repetition. Keep your photo displays fresh and interesting, and show off a variety of aspects of your creative photography talents.

If you are starting off on your travels, take your first shots as soon as you depart. Don't forget to take pictures of your journey, as it can provide images as memorable as the destination itself. Create a timeline of your trip with the pictures you take throughout it.
