Yellowstone Photography Is An Art Form In Its Own Right

For millions of visitors from America and overseas, America's national parks have long been popular and exciting recreational spots, as evidenced by the popularity of Yellowstone photography. Within the United States, there are 58 national parks, with each having protected status under the law. The National Park Service is thought by many to be among the best ideas that our country has ever come up with.
As the very first national park created in America, Yellowstone is thought of by many as the most famous and iconic of all the national parks. The park consists of over 3,500 square miles of protected lands, with most of it situated in Wyoming, but with small parts also in Montana and Idaho. The place was first created in 1872 and now receives in excess of 2 million visitors annually, making it among the most highly visited of all the country's national parks and recreation areas.
The park has become the icon of the national park system in the U. S. And has served as an example of successful conservation to other countries. Not only is it full of interesting natural wonders but an interesting and captivating history as well. This includes everything from the earliest Native American inhabitants all the way through its use in more modern times.
For visitors to the area and the actual park itself, there are many different things to do and recreational activities to take part of. Many of these are due in large part to the varied landscapes and geographic features of this park. Activities include hiking and biking rails, water sports, horseback riding, scenic driving, and wildlife viewing.
Yellowstone is famous for its vast geography, stunning vistas, plentiful waterfalls, bright geothermal pools, and the abundance of various types of wildlife. All of these things, along with many more, are why the park is so well known and why people wish to photograph. Countless beautiful and captivating photographs have been taken in the park by both professionals and amateurs alike; with some ending up in calendars, in contests, and in other print forms.
From its very beginnings, the beauty of this place has attracted photographers. Many come from far and wide to document the natural wonders of this place. Because of its long history, beautiful scenery and wildlife, and the large number of visitors each year, this is the most photographed of all national parks in the country.
The earliest images it appears in date back to trappers expeditions completed before a park was created. In fact, it was because of these images that Congress decided to protect the area and designate it a national park. It is clear to see just how influential and crucial photography has been to this space from its very start.
