Three Great Mario Games You Should Play

by Christopher Richters

Mario has some great video games which are being called classics by many individuals. Many of these classic video games have literally altered the face of the computer game industry and set the actual bar really high. The bar has been set so high by a few of the Mario games that the competitors starts copying particular elements of these online games.

Mario has a great cast that makes him very unique. His older brother named Luigi is the thin version of Mario. Little princess Peach, that always takes a big part, is the damsel in distress that needs to be saved.

Mario has been in excellent games, but also in some really bad ones. Nintendo continues to be experimenting with many video game styles, from role playing games to racing games. Some of these Mario video games failed miserably, but some where pleasantly and surprisingly good. So great actually that many sequels where spawned.

Mario Kart 64 Game

The first great Mario game you should play is actually Mario Kart 64. This is a racing game that takes the genre in a different direction. Not only are you racing, you are also attempting to slow down your competitors using various items that you can collect throughout the racing course. There weren't any games that where like this and Nintendo took a big departure from the norm you would expect from platform games.

Super Mario World 2

Mario has had great success with the platform video games, so huge that it opened up doors to other genres of games which Nintendo experimented with. One of these classical games is Super Mario World.

This game set the bar really high for 2D platform games. Think about it, many games to this day put into action certain elements from this video game. And others look at it for motivation on how to improve their game. 10 years from now this game will still be fun to play.

Mario 64

The last video game that you need to try is Mario Sixty four. The number behind his name was a catchy way of stating that the game utilized the power of thel Nintendo 64 to it is fullest. Mario Sixty four made the step to bring our favorite plumber to the 3D realm. Many platforms have tried it before, but Mario set the standard once again.

As discussed earlier, the Nintendo camp has experimented with different genres, but let's be honest. Mario his bread and butter is the platform genre. Not only did Nintendo set the actual bar real high on the Nes, Super Nintendo, and the Nintendo 64, these people continue to be revolutionary and try brand new ideas that most of the time work in every person's favor.

So what will happen in the future? Well let's look at yesteryear. Since Shigeru Miyamoto knows that the actual Mario brand is worthwhile, he will continue to create new Mario games and in addition try to get Mario to complete other things that the competitors are too afraid to try doing.
