When one would go out on a romantic picnic date, then he better be sure to pack a wine picnic basket so that he can entertain both him and his lover. Of course this will also give him a chance to showcase a little bit of his creativity by decorating the basket with a lot of decorations, food and drinks. The first thing to do would be to decide on a theme for his picnic basket because then he will be able to decide on what the color and design of the hamper. For example, if he would want an Italian theme for his outing, then he would most likely pick a red or a brown one with some Italian looking decorations. Of course the theme is also directly related to the food that he will pick.
If the basket has already been decided on, then one may now let his imagination go wild with the designing part. Of course before he starts with any designing, he should first put a small cloth inside the basket in order to guard the food from being contaminated. From there, it will be all up to him as to what the decorations or accessories he would want to put.
Now take note that one may need to bring some glasses, plates or other breakable things. So in order for these things to break, then one should be very careful by putting some straw inside the hamper or maybe even another layer of clothing inside. Of course one may also just put a cushion inside of it.
The food will be the next thing for one to think about. Now using the theme as a basis, one may be able to prepare all of the necessary food items that he and his significant other will love. As for appetizers, crackers and cheese will be really good choice because these foods can really taste well with the wine.
Once all of the food has been prepared, then one may proceed to choose the types of wines that he would want to bring. Depending on the food and the theme, he should decide whether he would want to bring red wines, white wines, or even just sparkling wines. If he would want, he may also bring other types of alcohol like beer or champagne just to add variety.
Lastly, he should pack all of the proper utensils that are from his house. Aside from forks, spoons, knives, and plates, one should also bring some fancy wine glasses. Another thing that one could add into the list of extra things to bring would be some candles which one can light up when the sun goes down.
So if one is planning a romantic date for two, then he would want to consider creating a wine picnic basket for this event. It is up to the person on how he would want to design his hamper. However, these are some of the basic things that one should do in order to create a really nice looking one.
