Charities Benefit From The Color Run San Diego Event

The Color Run San Diego is an annual occasion that consists of a 5K race, lots of colors, and a fun time with friends and fellow racers. Everyone is allowed to attend as a racer, volunteer, or spectator, but racers will have to sign up ahead of time and pay the fees to be able to participate. A portion of the earnings goes to putting the event together, and another portion is donated to a local charity in San Diego.
The race starts at 9:00 AM, and then colors will fly through the air every five minutes after the start of the race. The colored corn starch is thrown by the Color Bomb Squad (a team of volunteers) at all of the racers that move past them. Because the powdered colors are just dyed corn starch, there is no need to worry about poisonous paints or dyes ruining your day. Once the racers cross the finish line they will be able to throw colors at their friends and fellow racers.
The Color Run San Diego will be giving a portion of its proceeds to Deaf Community Services of San Diego. This charity was selected because of their goal to enrich the lives of the deaf community through services, education, and advocacy. Other race venues will donate a portion of their proceeds to a charity that is in that area.
The Color Run San Diego gives a special t-shirt to everybody who takes part in the event. Runners will get a t-shirt celebrating "The Art of Running" and volunteers will receive a shirt that recognizes them as a part of the Color Bomb Squad. In addition to the t-shirt, racers will also receive sunglasses, a racing big, and other cool gear from the sponsors after signing up. People of all ages are welcome to get involved, and racers under the age of 7 can run for free.
Racers and volunteers alike would have a great time at the Color Run San Diego, and every person is sure to have a good time. Each year the 5K Color Run is hosted by several cities who all give back to a charity in the area. The more people that attend, the larger the party and people in all age groups are invited to attend the event. There is going to be food, drink, and live music available at the end of the race when everyone is colored from head to toe and ready to spend the rest of the day with their friends.
