Start Winning At The Race Track And The Use Of Equine Supplement
by Mark Givens
A horse which uses an equine supplement makes it a winner. This is because it offers the creature the correct nourishment. The thing is you could not tell which animal is getting the right supplements as they all look strong and quick. So what do you do? You can try Horse Body Language - when the horse is telling you to wager. It would be great if we could ask a horse inside the paddock exactly how he feels right now and what he thinks about his chances within the next race. Unfortunately, we cannot. The trainer can say to us that the horse is "doing nicely", or that he may "need a race". The majority of great trainers have an excellent understanding of the fitness of their race horses, and know when one particular is "seated on a big one", but for the average fan, getting a trainer to talk is not much easier than speaking with the animal!
Nevertheless, there are a few stuff you can look for in the paddock and the post celebration that should tell you how a horse is feeling. There are people who've invested an entire life watching horses and it is not a talent to take lightly. The more you watch, the more you will learn. Take time to observe the horses in the paddock before the race and write down a couple of notes about how the horse looked to you in your program. Was his coat gleaming or lifeless? Did he appear overly aggressive or passive? Pay special attention to his ears, tail, and how he is walking.
Look at what class levels the horse has been racing at. There are different levels of competition, or classes, in horse racing. As you go up in class, you'll discover better performing horses and increased purses. There are 4 race classes: first races, proclaiming races, allowance races, as well as stakes races. Racetracks try to have races with horses at the same level of competitors. Horses move up and down classes all year round based on their performance and quite often a change in class could affect if a horse will win or lose.
For example, let's say the race you're wagering on is really a $40,000 allowance race. You have your eye on the animal, so you check its previous results in the program. It looks like he's been consistently coming in 1st and 2nd, but you notice that his earlier races have all been claiming contests. Even though it's great that this horse has been bumped up a class, in this particular race he might be outclassed by the other animals who have experience in performing in allowance contests. So it might not be a good idea to bet with this horse to win in this specific race.
An equine supplement could make the horse a winner. Your knowledge could make you a victor. Look at the past effectiveness on surface type. Racetracks have various surface types which the horses run on. Some have natural dirt as well as grass tracks while some have artificial "all-weather" tracks. Horses perform in different ways on each type of surface. Some horses love dirt tracks, but don't enjoy the feel of artificial tracks and vice versa. The program tells you each horse's previous performance on the different surface kinds. If a horse has executed well only on dirt and the track you're at is an all-weather course, you might think about eliminating her from your list of possible selections.
