On the Lookout for Cheap Double Strollers? The Web Can Help!
by Daniel Turbin
So you have read tons of double push-chair reviews and you've made up your mind about which one you would like, have you? Trouble is, man are they expensive! This is especially true if you're taking a look at actually high end models ( the Town Top-notch Double Push chair comes to mind, or some high end double jogging strollers ).
Local malls might carry them, but you may pay a premium. Naturally, the advantage there's that you will be able to physically touch and have interaction with it, so you'll have a good idea of what you're ultimately getting.
Because of this, I'd endorse beginning at your local department store, solely to get a hands on assessment of whatever stroller you have got your eye on. Once you have done that though, head home and get online to work out if you'll be able to find a superior deal!
I'd recommend starting with Amazon, because they have got nearly every product imaginable, and typically have used / renovated items for sale at a tiny part of the retail cost. You should buy with confidence from these sources, because Amazon tends to screen fairly closely, and these vendors won't wish to risk their relationship with Amazon simply to make a single sale, so buying from an unrelated party through Amazon is just about as good as purchasing from Amazon itself.
In a similar vein, do not forget Ebay! Their feedback and ranking system means that if your buying double strollers, or anything more from an Ebay power seller, you should buy with faith that you will not get swindled!
Finally, check out Craig's List, but that is more of a "buyer beware" site, because they have got relatively fewer client protections than does Amazon or Ebay. However, using just those three online resources, you can nearly always get a top end product at superior savings. That is still true whether you're on the lookout for the best double strollers or some new stereo clobber, or anything in between!
Of course, you may hit local garage sales and thrift stores, but if you go down this route, take a bit of time to thoroughly check the item over before parting with your hard-earned money. Not much worse than the sensation you get when you've paid serious money for something, only to get it home and find out it's broken, or does not have some vital feature you were looking for, or has noticeably more wear and tear than you first thought.
