Brief Report On The New Nikon D3200

Nearly eight weeks ago Nikon launched the newest D3200 Dslr camera. It is an improvement for the existing D3100 yet as per Nikon the 3200 is not a substitute and the 3100 will continue to be for sale. Other than the modified model number it's got some considerable updates to speak about, that will be shown below.

Sensor

The sensor is probably the most head line catching enhancement, in which the D3100 features a 14 mega-pixel one the 3200 packs a whopping 24 megapixels. This is a big difference and pretty much unheard of with an entry level Digital slr camera. This enables unusually high quality prints of panoramas as well as portraits especially at poster dimension without sacrificing virtually any details. The other advantage is it enables you to crop in on an image should you not have a very long telephoto zoom lens, when just as before not losing important details.

Display

Among the list of major drawbacks of the D3100 was that the screen only had 230k pixels, quite small for an entry level Digital slr. The D3200 now offers 921k pixels that is far more suitable.

ISO Range

The ISO value has also increased originating from a top 3200 to the maximum of 6400. This certainly does imply that you will be able to shoot in lower light situations with no flash nonetheless it does come with the drawback of a great deal more noise.

Buttons and Switches

The first thing I noticed is the Live view switch in the D3100 was exchanged with a button in equivalent position to the back; in my opinion I've found the switch better as a button may be unintentionally pushed. An excellent modification is the video clip record button which had been at the back now is handily located near the shutter release button for the D3200; this I reckon is a superb modification that makes more sense. Lastly, the D3100 had a drive mode switch conveniently located underneath the mode dial. In the D3200 it is now replaced with a new button at the backside of the camera, that I think is a lot less practical.

Weight and size

The size and weight of the D3200 is practically identical to the D3100, meaning it is a fairly portable and light-weight camera. This is especially good for novices that are probably only familiar with relatively small to medium sized consumer cameras. Also exclusive on the D3200 as well as a first for Nikon, this amazing Dslr will also be for sale in red which will provide it with a really unconventional look.
