Baby Dolls That Look Real

by Linda Maynard

Baby dolls that look real are imitations of babies that are not living. They usually are made of material things. The material used for making these objects depends on availability. They are usually bought to make babies happy, especially babies of the feminine sex.

These imitations usually occur or rather are made using different types of materials. Some are made of plastics and others of polythene bags. Those made of plastics are made from recycling of materials in the environment. This has been of extremely great benefit because instead of littering the environment with plastic waste or polluting the air by burning it, better things as these can be made.

Another category of dolls is the one made from polythene papers and fastened by strings. Such dolls are normally made locally and they are mostly made for those children whose parents cannot afford to buy the plastic imitations. The skill used in making these ones is in the least demanding, and can even be made by the children themselves. However, through them, waste polythene is also put into more important use.

These imitations usually exist in various sizes. The size depends usually on the availability of materials. If ore material is available, larger imitations can be made. For the sold category, the larger imitations cost more expensive than the smaller ones. Also, the manufacturers aim at making these imitations large so they can be made to appear real. Most of those which appear real are usually the size of ordinary live babies.

A number of characteristics have been introduced to these non-living things in order to make them appear real. Some of the factors which have been put in place include introducing decent dressing for them. Irrespective of the material used, these imitations normally have clothes just like those of live babies. Also, the industrial ones have some qualities such as crying, laughing, walking and even defecation, though theirs are usually controlled by machines. Larger imitations also tend to appear more like live babies as compare to very small ones.

The imitations usually impact greatly on the lives of the owners. Babies who own them tend to develop their thinking skills at a faster rate than those who do not have them. Their possession tends to trigger then to assume adult roles like those they see their elders do, since to them, those are their babies who look up to them.

However, there is a disadvantage in the introduction of these imitations to kids. Most of them tend to get too much attached to them. This may lead to irresponsibility and rudeness when called upon to perform a given task by their seniors. They also give them the false impression that they are as grown as their parents by owning babies, which leads to various forms of misbehavior.
