When the size of the family seems to outsize the breadth and span of the house, then a wise family knows just what to do. And that is to maximize all the spaces in the house, including its vertical space. But how is using the vertical space of the house done? Just imagine the chairs or tables in the house piled and arranged vertically, wouldn't it be bizarre and simply out of this world? Well, fret not. Because there is furniture in the house that even if two of them are piled upwards, they would still look normal and can be used in the normal fashion. Know what is it? Yes, they are the beds.
Beds piled vertically are now the trend in many homes anywhere. Today, we commonly refer to them as bunk beds. And as science textbooks say, "necessity is the mother of invention. " Well, in case, the necessity to have enough sleeping space for two people in a room that was supposedly made for a single sleeper was the mother cause why bunk beds were invented and designed.
Of the two options above, the second one is rather more suitable, though a number of parents may argue. And there are three good reasons why. Here are they:
First, it conserves home space. As compared to two single beds arranged side by side, there is no doubt that bunk beds would definitely be more space-conserving. This is because the supposed area where a second bed would have been placed was spared by making use of the vertical space of the house. Thus, even if the room area is small, people therein could still walk around the room freely and comfortably. And at night, they all could have their good night slumber.
Second, vertically aligned beds make rooms for more things in the room. Because the area that is supposedly occupied by a second bed is spared by using bunk beds, this spare portion of the room can be rather maximized greatly in order to accommodate other things in the room like tables and chairs, or added lockers and cabinets.
Third, kids' bunk beds can be an extra appeal for the room. Ordinarily, people would choose solid colors of their choice or plain figures for a room. However, children's rooms are not like any ordinary bedrooms. Their bedrooms should be fashioned in a way that it would help in boosting up the self-esteem of children.
Fourth, these kinds of beds are fun and amusing. With ordinary single beds, every night is just an ordinary sleeping time. But with up-and-down beds, it would be fun to think that somebody is sleeping above you or under you, thus, making the ordinary sleeping time a fun and exciting thought.
To end, even a family has a small space in the house; they could still have their fair portion of comfort and ease of living. There are so many ways to achieve these and all they take are initiative and determination to work on that initiative. Say for instance; use bunk beds in the bedrooms.
