Go to Doric's anvil, which could be northwest of Falidor by the mountain. There you will do Doric's quest, which consists of giving Doric the ores. You may just be rewarded with 1, 300 mining experience, which should put you as much as at least level ten mining. Then buy a steel pickaxe from either the mining shop inside the dwarven mines or with the Grand exchange. Then, mine clay. Clay sells for around 100gp each. When you educate your level high enough to mine iron, you can sell it for around 100gp also. Copper fetches about 75gp each contrary to Tin selling for only 30gp so educate your mining on copper rather than tin. However, for the fast Runescape gold go for the clay.
