A rapper is not automatically considered to be one of the rap artists. Rapping refers to "spoken or chanted rhyming lyrics". The art form can be divided into different factors, into "content", "flow" (rhythm and rhyme), and "delivery". Rapping is specific from spoken word poetry in that it is performed in time to a beat.
Rapping is a primary ingredient in hip hop music & reggae, but the phenomenon predates hip hop culture by generations. It can also be found in alternative rock. Rapping can be delivered on the beat or without accompaniment. Stylistically, rap uses up a gray area among speech, prose, poetry, and song. The use of the word to describe quick speech or repartee long predates the musical kind, meaning originally "to hit". The phrase had been used in British English since the 16th century, and specifically which means "to say" since the 18th. It was part of the African American language of English in the 1960s meaning "to converse", and very soon after that in its present usage as a term denoting the musical technology style. Nowadays, the terms "rap" and "rapping" are so carefully associated with hip hop music that many use the terms interchangeably.
Despite being in the mainstream consciousness for more than twenty years now, Hip-Hop is still largely thought to consist solely of idiotic, primitive and often pointlessly chaotic lyrics that debase and malign the English language. Although to be fair, that is still the majority of the Hip-Hop music being shoved down our throats by the large music labels and radio. However, there is an increasingly large presence of extremely intelligent Hip-Hop pushing the genre's limitations and transforming rap into educationally and artistically viable poetry.
Your successful artists' points talk about you lyrically, but that's not how to become an effective artist. You must have a flow, you need to be able to work hard to get people to identify you. And let's be sensible, you're not going to sell that many records, hardly any people will sell that much. You have to rhyme all what you know to put what they have in mind on paper. Do what other rapper has to do, develop rap duels. If you need to sell many like all rappers have to work hard to be discovered, a good start is to have their music online, through internet sites, very much like guerilla ambushes. The down-side of it is you already are a sellout if the only thing you want to get out of Hip-Hop is to achieve revenue.
Becoming rap artists take expertise, and the talent to speak about everything like a rapper does is actually all about guts. Promote your music as much as you can, get on the internet, make underground mixtapes, and join some competitions. A rapper is somebody that expresses himself with the urban street poetry form called "rap". A formerly unique form of black urban street ethnic expression now completely neutered and properly watered down as rendered part of the safe timid white mainstream thanks to big business.
Hip hop music was initially invented during the nineteen seventies. To become one of the famous hip hop artists one ought to sing out well, develop the winning attitude, and most importantly know how to dance. Being a one of the greates rap artists is not a fairly easy career. It absolutely requires a great deal of hard work, confidence, and persistence.
