With the money rap artists and other musical artists offer to get, it is usually a surprise to find out how many of them wind up declaring bankruptcy, losing their homes or most recently, needing contributions to make a doctor's visit. Unbeknownst to many, the artist does not collect all of the cash from customer's purchases, but just like concerts, only takes away a percentage. Now, you might think about why only a percentage? Because the parent companies own the artist; without them there would be no artist, so they take their money right off the top.

A proven way rap artists make their funds is by performing at live shows. Rappers, a lot of them will tell you all they do is for show; to get back the amount of money they may have carelessly spent. They are simply "working" just as everyone else does. They have a boss exactly like everyone else does, and in some cases, they are left without the bare essentials of life.
Hip hop music was first mastered during the 70's.
