West Coast cities are the primary focus of Skywest Airlines though it does have partnerships with Delta and other international carriers. Skywest Airlines was started by Ralph Atkin in 1972 as a very small airline that only flew between Salt Lake City and St. George in Utah. Business travel between these two cities was their market. Skywest partners with Delta and United, two major airlines, it's true, but it also purchased another regional airline, Atlantic Southeast, in 2005.
