This is a time in your kid's life where he or she is gonna be fairly irritable and very tough to cope with. So you are going to have to get through this in some way, and I want to give you some tips so that this transition goes as easily as possible. One of many reasons why the terrible twos are so terrible is simply because your child is wanting to communicate with you, but since they do not know how to properly talk, they get very disappointed because they have a hard time expressing their selves.
That's why you need to respond to your child no matter what happens when they're trying to communicate with you, and do your best to try and figure out what they were saying because this will make their discouraged responses a lot more civil.
It's very important that you talk correctly with your own kid at this specific time in their life. Communication is the key to your own kid's understanding, and whenever they're communicating with you, and you don't know what they're attempting to show you, you could always get them and say to them to point to what exactly they're trying to make you realize. Maybe they want you to have them a drink, and you aren't working it out. So take them to the fridge and let them point to the drink they would love you to have.
Just make sure you let your own child know the limitations, because they're going to want to touch things that they shouldn't play with. Like knives and fine China and other very important things that they have to keep their hands off of. You're going to have no recourse but to handle the tantrums at this point, but if you limit it to these situations then it must not be that big of a deal.
