Friends And Family Annual Vacations Within Squaw

We just had a great family vacation at Squaw Valley. All of us love the winter time, and this resort had just what we needed to get our winter fun on. You won't believe all of the cool winter attractions. Sure there's the skiing, but it goes so much further than that. You don't even know!
So let's start with the skiing we did. There's so many different courses to choose from, but I started out on the beginner slopes launched by <a href="http://us.linkedin.com/pub/dir/Andy/Wirth">Andy Wirth</a> last year. These are perfect because instructors are always around to help you out.
This was the site of the Olympics back in the 60s, and the quality has remained ever since. Plus they have professional lessons, and beginner heels if you've never skied before.
Of course there's also the Olympic courses. Most of them totally untouched from the time that the Olympics were held in Squaw Valley. It's cool to actually get to do a run down a championship quality course.
Although if you're not a big skier, but you like to get outside during winter time, there's tons of other things you can do. We found one of our favorites was the dog sledding.
Dog sledding was great. Really interesting to see how people used to do things before the world of snowmobiles. Plus you even get to ride along on some of the sleds, which was awesome.
Although if you're a bit more high tech, they also have a great selection of snowmobiles that <a href="http://www.snocountry.com/snonews/tags/tag/andy-wirth">AW of Squaw</a> recently expanded. We spent a lot of time on those too. Lots of fun to explore Lake Tahoe in a snowmobile I can tell you.
Though the family definitely spent most of their time snow tubing. These hills are the best part, and offer you the most fun too. They are just great if you're looking for some good old fashioned winter fun. Who doesn't love sledding, really?
