I was chatting to a couple recently and they are what I'd call "natural lovers." They just know how to love naturally. They tease and laugh and joke and chat effortlessly like they can go on doing it forever. It had been inspiring. There was a genuine sanction on my part for their certitude to tie the knot before long.
But both of them come from humble backgrounds and both possess the youthful idealism to make it on their own. Beautiful. Even from a shoe string budget, I side with them that the bride deserves a good bridal photography, because it is her rite of passage from singleness to a union that will stand through time and forever.
This came from them, actually. When a lot of people are persuading them to reserve employing an experienced photographer for the marriage day itself and just leave the bridal photography to friends and volunteers, they may not be persuaded. The lovely couple said, they might not have an elaborate reception, but they surely desire to spend money on the photos, together with bridal photography.
I couldn't blame them. I'd have decided the same way. Bridal photography is a tender manifestation of a life a maiden lays before the palms of her chosen partner and companion. Elegance has to be exposed not just from the outside but more prominently from the bride's heart. Again, no elaboration, no costumes, no heavy make up is needed. In my style to bridal photography, all I ever require is really a bride who has in her heart the confidence, the certainty, and the unchanging path towards marrying that one man.
So, a white picket fence, a couple of green grass on the foreground, a pink t-shirt, and the incessant and delicate breeze of cool morning air brushing against her cheek-- that was all I needed for a heaven-inspired bridal photography in a shoe string.
