As a dog owner, you surely are doing your best to keep your dog fit and healthy. In this regard, one thing that is absolutely critical is flea control. I don't know about you, but I hate bites, and the thought of my dog being bitten by dozens of fleas would kill me.
Thus, any sensible dog owner will take charge of flea control for the dog's sake and for their own sake; because if your dog is flea ridden, it simply is not healthy to have him around.
Fortunately, though, there really is no reason why dogs should suffer from fleas today anymore, because there are excellent flea control formulas on the market. But here is something that dog owners need to understand:
The fleas are not the only problem, but so are the eggs. You will need to get rid of both, if you want to be successful. And this cannot be done in one single step. Instead, you will need to follow several steps:
First, get a flea solution for the dog - the ones that place a drop at the back of the neck work well with no unnecessary bathing in burning solutions - keep up this practice for ever.
Secondly, clean the kennel. This can be done by getting a solution that you can put in hot water. Then you can scrub down the kennel and the ground around it.
The third step is taking care of your house inside. You may not get around using a pest bomb. If so, simply prepare your house as stated on the instructions for use.
The tricky part about lea eggs is that they can be just about anywhere. They may be in the bedding, on the carpet, hiding in cracks. You will need to clean everything as thoroughly as possible.
Fourth, wash all the bedding to get rid of the bomb residue and flea eggs. The bedding is a popular place for fleas to be. So wash it thoroughly to make sure you actually got rid of all of them.
