It is no secret that the economy is struggling along and that there are many people who have bad credit scores because they have had to spend their income on groceries and rent and have had to miss a few credit card payments because money is scarce. But even though the economy is struggling, auto loans are not as hard to qualify as some might think. Even those with bad credit can find financing at decent rates.
The automotive industry is struggling too which is why many lenders are willing to approve financing for those with less than perfect credit ratings. Even applicants with very low credit scores are being approved for financing. No longer does an applicant need a top score in order to qualify for financing.
Lenders are willing to overlook some of the negative items on an applicant's score. One of the reasons why lenders are approving applications is because of the industry competition. When one lender is willing to take a chance on a financing agreement others lose business if they are unwilling to get in line with their competitor.
In the past, people with poor credit scores could expect to pay much higher interest. But this is no longer the case. There are many finance companies trying to attract business by offering decent rates to those with negative marks on their credit history.
Many automobile shoppers are finding financing on the internet and are discovering that their choices are better than they thought. The car industry is struggling just like every other business in this tough economy so the industry is willing to do what is necessary to sell cars. This means lending money at decent rates to people with less than great credit rates.
Auto loans are available to those with bad credit scores. Finance companies need the business and are lending money at reasonable rates. This is a good time to buy a new car or truck.
