Experience in Snowboarding Vacation

by Judy Phan

Around a year ago I went on a snow boarding vacation to Europe and had a great time by all accounts. The best part was that I went with all my friends, all of which had varied abilities in the sport. Some of my friends compete in competitions and the like, whilst others have only been on the slopes a few times in their life. The fact is that we were all really looking forward to it, and we were all sure to enjoy ourselves whilst we were away. The fact is that we do not spend that much time together, as we all went to different colleges whilst others decided to enter the world of work and go out their and get a job.

I was very excited as we all successfully completed the booking for the vacation. We informally promised not to spend much as we had to spend it in Europe. The accommodation cost was $300 for a week. I can still remember that the return flight cost was $150. We came to know that the life in Europe didn't require huge cost. We thought to save $1000 so that we could spend sufficient money during arrival.

The price being so cheap, some of my friends decided to go online and buy some equipment for the trip and that was anything from new boards to clothing. I personally never bothered, as I was currently struggling for money, surviving merely on the pay that I got for working in a local MP3 player shop.

It is really an impossible task to express the feeling of hitting the slopes in words. We never had such experience before. One of the teammates was very interested in sporting. While snowboarding, my friend Blair was feeling very nervous. I tried how to snowboard. He learnt to control it in a short time. After finishing all the stuffs we all get very tired and required a fresh shower. The hot shower was simply awesome.

Next thing, I must say, was time to get out and trial the night life. We were really looking forward it. We had great interest about European girls. We were certain to benefit from ourselves to know the different culture. At first, we went for meals and finished up with burger and chips. Then we went for a local club. Truly saying, it was a great night. I must admit, this was the blueprint for the rest of the days of the week. I could scarcely say that I regret the experience.
