In these modern times, it has been seen that people are going back to the elixirs of the old days. Back then, Mother Nature was relied upon for most of the health problems. It is no surprise that one can use chamomile oil for nappy rash.
The chamomile plant is a member of the daisy family. It can be identified by its white petals and yellow center. The flowers are of two types. The German flower is thought to be the stronger strain. The Roman flower is somewhat mild. But nonetheless, both types of flowers are just as effective in being used for natural treatments.
The oil is extracted from the plant by distillation. It is said to help reduce inflammation and redness of the skin, relax and soothe the nerves and to induce sleep. It also helps to produce hippurate which is the plant boost which helps immunity by fighting bacteria. It also helps with tissue regeneration.
In using it as a cure for nappy rash, the application is quite simple. First clean the baby's bottom, then apply some oil on the skin. Let it dry normally. If possible, leave uncovered for a while. As a natural remedy, it can be used frequently.
Nowadays, a lot of creams are being made with a component of chamomile. It makes the usage more diversified among the people. Using the oil can be an expensive method as the cost might be a pretty penny. The reason being the method of extraction.
There are other benefits from using chamomile. It can be used topically or orally. The tea infusion or the oil can be used to treat numerous ailments. It can be used as a mouthwash for dental abscesses and tonsillitis. It is also used for anxiety and panic attacks by using the tea infusion.
Using natural herbal cures is as natural as breathing is to man. One rarely, if ever, needs to be concerned about toxins and the effects of chemical properties. Herbs are easy to find. One can even cultivate the herbs needed for use. This way they will be readily available by just stepping outside to one's garden. It can be said more often than not, how advantageous it is to use natural cures for younger children as against using artificially formulated preparations.
