'Star Wars The Old Republic' has taken the world by storm recently. This is a massive multiplayer online RPG (Role Playing Game) which is distributed by EA. The game was created by Bioware in conjunction with Lucasarts. This game was officially released or launched on 20th December 2011 after being in the pipeline for years. Nevertheless, the game did live up to the expectations of avid gamers anticipating its release.
As the name suggests, participation in this game entails role-playing on part of the player wherein not only is he supposed to select a new character for every mission but choose his method of responding as well. If "Star The Old Republic" game is hailed as having an edge over its competitors it is courtesy of the voiceovers, each of which is unique to the point of being easily identified without any overlap. Obviously the credit for creating so many different voices goes to the maker.
The cost of making "Star the Old Republic" game is estimated to stand between USD 150 and 200 million even though the creators of have not actually said how much it actually cost on paper. If that is an accurate guess then it would mean the game is one of the most expensive ones made to date.
If you are a gamer then you know no one likes playing an online RPG multiplayer game that is slow and the storyline is lame. That is why "Star the Old Republic" game has a storyline that is strong while giving you fast pace thrilling action that will leave you on the edge of the seat. It does not matter if the game is played with others or you go solo, the combat is high speed and the quest lines will blow your mind away.
Game enthusiasts will find the feature of being allowed to play in small groups to be particularly advantageous because they don't have to wait around for a group of say 20 or 25 people in order to start a game. Fans of this game describe it as an 'exhilarating experience'. Moreover, for some, they never want to see the sunlight once they start playing this game because they just can't tear themselves away from the computer and go outdoors.
Because "Star The Old Republic" game is an advanced version of Star Wars, it is but natural that this would be concerned with galactic warfare. As a result of technological advancement, this game is not just the epitome of cinematography but provides good quality entertainment as well. The freedom of choosing from as many as eight character classes lends to it a flexibility which has never been experienced before.
What would be a game if the winner does not get to walk away with the booty? In case of this game, the rewards are offered in form of Flashpoints which are bonus mission that a player can embark upon with his companions. Thus these Flashpoints are akin to a carrot in order to keep the gamer motivated and inspired to remain hooked to the game.
For all the gamers that love World of Warcraft or any other RPG multiplayer game this one is even more popular and exciting. The "Star the Old Republic" game gives an amazing experience like no other game has. For a Star Wars game there are more choices and options that will leave you thinking 'which one I should try!'
