Nobody starts out as a superstar. Nobody. That's why everybody needs to find a talent agency, and put in the necessary effort if they want to get famous. But you have to be ready to open them.
When you're thinking about joining a talent agency, often you can be confused about what service they actually provide. They are integral for connecting talent, with the people who need talent for various jobs.
Sometimes an audition isn't actually meeting with anybody. If they're looking for a model, sometimes a company just wants head shots. If you're representing yourself, they don't have time to look up individuals. If you want to be an actor some day, find ways that you can get yourself on set. If you can hold the camera, or hold the light, even if you're just helping to set up microphones, at least you're working. All of that looks great on a resume, because it shows you have a passion.
Models have to pay many of the same dues. Everybody likes a team player. They're easier to work with, and usually have been around the block. By volunteering to undertake any task behind the camera, you give yourself a better chance.
Nobody succeeds without giving one hundred percent. The only people who get far in Hollywood, are those who are serious workers. So no matter what you want to do, realize that One Source Talent can only help. You have to have the mentality to get things done.
