Having And Taking Care Of Curly Indian Hair

by Antoinette Quinn

The curly Indian hair look has become quite a popular one over the past few years because so many lady celebrities have been using it. It is not uncommon to see many ladies going to the salon these days asking for extreme curls. Of course it is also possible to do this at home but doing it at home will definitely be more challenging.

The easiest way to acquire some curls would be to walk down the street and find a good hairdresser to do it. Just grow the hair long enough so that the people in the salon can give it the best look ever. Of course not everybody wants to do this as it is expensive and harmful to the scalp because of the chemicals involved.

Now before even attempting to start with the curling, one must keep her strands moisturized first. Her scalp must be moisturized prior to the making of the curls so that things do not get messy when she scrunches them. In order to keep moisturized, try using some store bought moisturizers or some shampoo that encourages this kind of effect.

For the lucky few that have natural curls, they do not need to use much curl enhancing shampoo because they already have the curliness that they want. However, for those who are not born with this trait, they need to use these types of shampoos regularly if they want to end up with curly locks. Just keep on using it regularly until the curls start to form.

After a good shampoo, the next step would be for one to flip her head upside down and start scrunching up her locks so that the curls can actually form. By doing this, she will allow her locks to become even more bunched up and curly. After scrunching up the curls for several minutes, use a blower to blow them until the curliness stays in position and does not fall back down.

When that is done, apply some curl enhancing lotion as this will help the strands get used to the way they are in position already. The secret here is to put this lotion all over the head and massage the scalp with it as well as the roots of each strand. Do not forget to put big amounts as it will also make the curls like moisturized and not dried up.

Now sometimes the curls do not last if one does not have naturally curly locks. So one thing to do would be to purchase those iron heat curlers which can make them stay in their place using heat. However, take note that it is not healthy to use it every day.

So for those who would want to get some curly Indian hair without going to the salon, try some of these tips that are guaranteed to work. However, one should always remember that if she has curls like these, she cannot use shampoo. At the very least, she can only use baby shampoo which is extremely mild to the scalp.
