A letter size easel is the perfect copy holder for a typist who is using word processing for long documents. Over time, a monitor at the wrong level may cause permanent damage. In addition, the monitor should be at the proper distance from the face to allow the eyes to focus naturally.
If you are using a standard computer mouse, you may be setting yourself up for injury. A computer mouse should be sized to fit the hand of the operator. You may find a mouse that is shaped differently than the standard to be more comfortable and to take some strain off the wrist. A cordless mouse gives even more placement options.
If overhead lighting at your desk is inadequate, you may need to add a desk lamp. An adjustable lamp allows you to place the light in the correct place to see your work. Proper lighting of your workspace can prevent eyestrain.
A letter size easel is one way to improve the ergonomics of your workspace. You will find that there are many other things that can improve the spot where you spend hours each day. If your workspace is not ergonomically designed, you need to make some changes to prevent injury that could take you out of the work place for several weeks.
