Some Reasons We Should Try Tea Tree Oil For Candida

by Gillian Duckworth

Our bodies can be prone to infection from the outside. This is especially true if our body has been weakened by antibiotics wherein the healthy bacteria in our skins are affected and the growth of yeast grows out of control. Fungus infections can be treated naturally, and tea tree oil for candida control is recommended.

Candida is another name basically for fungus infections. They can come in many forms such as jock itch, nail and yeast infections, itchy rashes and also thrush. Many topical and manufactured creams are available in your local pharmacy, though there are also alternatives. Going for a more natural approach such as the use of natural anti-fungal and anti-viral agents such as tea tree oil may in fact be just as effective.

A very common form of candida infection is athletes foot. Being in a tropical or humid climate and also having closed shoes with moist feet most of the time can compound the situation. The affected areas are treated by dabbing cotton on it dipped in the oil. A daily foot massage using the oil is also highly recommended.

Vaginal yeast sufferers can also find some relief through the use of the oil. Moisten a tampon in a solution which contains one part oil and twenty parts water. Wear the tampon overnight and repeat as necessary until symptoms subside.

Nail fungus is a form of candida that can be quite difficult to treat sometimes. Mild cases can be answered by an application of the oil to areas three to four times a day. This is most effective if applied especially around the cuticle area and areas under the nails.

Should the infection prove to be stubborn, then one part oil mixed with five parts water can be used. Use the solution to soak nails in for around ten minutes everyday. After soaking be sure to clean and dry your nails with a clean cloth.

Apart from benefits of using it to treat infections, using tea tree oil for candida has some hidden benefits as well. As it is much cheaper than industrial creams and the like you can save a few pennies as a bottle of the stuff can go quite a long way and it has no expiry date. It will also save you some dollars in terms of consultation fees for problems that are easily treatable.
