All you need to do are some easy, gentle stretches. Trunk stretches are one of the stretches you can use for your upper body. With your hands on your waist, twist your upper body, first to one side and then to the other. It's also important to warm up and stretch your upper back and neck. For your neck, drop your chin to your chest and then drop your head backwards, trying to touch your upper back with the back of your head. Hold each position for 10 seconds. For your back, place your feet shoulder-width apart, put your hands on your hips, and bend to the front and the rear.

It's also extremely important that you learn correct information about whichever type of exercise regimen you intend to follow. After you finish learning the above topics, take time to learn how to take care of yourself. If you take these important steps as you approach a fitness/exercise program, you will be up to speed on what you are going to do.
