Making The Blockbuster Film Into The Mummy Game

The Mummy was a popular film when it first came out and was later followed by other popular titles in the same franchise; this has also led to other products based on the film, including a Mummy game designed for online play. Video game designers have been using the concepts of well received films and converting them into fun video games for many years now, so it is no surprise that it happened with The Mummy. Video games designed from blockbuster films use the same settings and characters to essentially reproduce the storyline from the movie but make it so that the player can be part of the events. How has The Mummy been turned into an Internet based game that allows for many players to participate at the same time?
When you select your character at the start of the Mummy game, you will find that your selections closely resemble many of the characters in the movies. Specifically, you can play as a part of the Cultists or Raiders factions; they are constantly at war with one another, and the Cultists are the group that adheres to ancient Egyptian magic practices. The Raiders more precisely resemble the archaeologists of the films who used guns and swords to protect themselves from the onslaught of Egyptian curses. Each group allows you to choose from unique character classes that have specific abilities, many of which are not shared from one class to another.
When you come right in front of evil monsters in the Mummy game, you will probably recognize the majority of them from the movies if you have seen them all. From tiny scarabs that want to kill you to scary looking mummies that you have to fight, there are many challenges for your character. From time to time you will face an extra challenging boss, such as a giant deadly scorpion, that will be much harder for your character to beat.
As in all massively multiplayer online role playing games, or MMORPG's, coordinating with additional players is an important part of the gameplay experience. Part of the fun of playing an Internet based game is being able to meet other players in-game and team up with them to complete quests and reach new levels with your characters.
