Just like dogs, these trout have a susceptible sense of smell that can easily sense any changes. For an instance, when you are smoking, after it there will be a distinct smell that is left in your hands.
According to those people who are not smoking, the smell on the hands of the smoker will be also the smell after he or she had touched an object. Thus, you should avoid touching your lures once you have smoked since this will also transfer to your lures. Once they will sense this, they will bite you.
