Basic Fishing Tips for Beginners

Choose you fishing rod carefully. The rod should match the type of fishing you like to start with and a wrong rod can create a bad and uncomfortable fishing experience. If you are going to use a heavy rod for throwing very small lures it will be very difficult for you to do so.
When you buy your fishing line, read (and try to trust) the numbers! beginners usually tend to by very heavy lines so thy will not break when they will catch their monster fish. Read the numbers of the test lines and match it to your equipment and the targeted fish.
Live worms are a good bait you can start with usually. When your out of live baits you can try spinners and fake lures like worms and small fish lures.
Best times to go fishing in the evening, just before sundown and very early in the morning. It's not a golden rule, if you got time and you like to go fishing - go fishing! :)
A good toss of you bait is when if get where you wanted - not how far! Always plan where you like to land your bait so you get better at this. That way if you will see action on the water or any potential spot you can get there.
Always stay alert! Look at the water and explore potential spot for fishing, think where is the best place for them to get food, where are the big fish or the small fish that the big fish is after
If you lucky enough to fish by a river, look for the place where a few streams combines. it's usually a good area for the fish to be at - it's where their food gathers.
Start small. Target smaller fish at the beginning. It's easyer and it will make you gain more control over your equipment and the feeling of catching a fish. That way you will be in much better shape when catching your ones in a life time fish.
It's important to keep your reel and rod balanced. It will make your fishing much easier and you will have much better performance.
