The iron should be on the Wool setting. Lay a cloth over the design and then put the iron on top to heat it up. You will usually need to leave it in place (do not move it) for at least a minute. The time is longer if you are using thicker fabric, since the glue needs to melt completely.
Once you have finished, let the piece cool slightly, then remove the paper gently. Check to see if the stones are stuck down. You can reheat them if they are still loose, but if they are stuck, then turn the clothes inside out and repeat the iron process on the back side of the design. This is something you can do if any pieces start to loosen at a later date, as well.
Whenever you wash the item, flip it inside out. This will help to protect the stones. These designs work on a variety of clothing, from caps and skirts to pants and jackets, even shoes.
