Youth groups are designed to give support to adolescents regarding their social lives and at the same time they give an opportunity to the church to teach basic Christianity principles and practices to these teenagers. Youth group lessons that are well planned help the teenagers to see the working of God in their lives. These sessions are made of connected activities those that are open to all students to participate. Moreover, the teens get an opportunity to be open to each other and are driven towards God's reliance. There are a number of these lessons and the information provided looks at those that have been found most productive effective.
The first lesson is claiming God's love. Make the teenagers present understand that the love of God is unconditional to all humans. Some of them will have difficulties accepting this, especially those that have had tough lives but make sure to explain that at times people are not open to receive this unconditional love.
Another lesson is to teach the teens the importance of having a thankful heart. Teach the importance of being thankful, particularly to God even when things are not working right in their lives. Explain that there is something good to thank God for at all times.
Another lesson is to teach the importance of actions to the teens. Let them know that saying things is not enough. It is important to put what you say into actions. Here, you could use the old saying that 'actions speak louder than words'.
The effect of sin on human beings is another effective lesson. Teach about the blinding effect of sin and how it keeps people away from the God's work. Let the students realize that sin keep them away from realizing the goodness of God by making them slaves of earthly pleasures.
Lastly, aiding the student to locate habits, desires and situations that make them to be driven away from their creator is also a brilliant instruction. These youth group lessons will help them share these sins that seem hard to overcome: knowing that God will help them out.
