Whether you're right or left handed, it makes no difference when it comes to online gaming. As long as you play the game and have fun, you are doing just fine. As you know, there is no shortage of other activities in which people do care if you're a righty/lefty. So... all right, ok - maybe you want or need to get a lefty mouse, however beyond that - with games it's just pure fun after that. Here are some tips on how to be a better gamer.
It's true that if you're left-handed, sometimes the gaming experience can be frustrating. Sometimes it seems the world is made for right-handed people, and you know controllers are made for them, too. Fortunately, you can designate certain keyboard keys with many MMORPGs. It's not perfect, but you will have the power to make your own keyboard shorts for gaming. You'll be good to go for practically any role playing if you have the shorts on your keyboard and a left-handed mouse.
You're also going to need to do some extracurricular reading at the appropriate forums and other net locales pertinent to your game of choice. Why bother with that? So that you will know when new patches and fixes for the game are released and when special events happen. Some of these things are only announced on forums or blogs so try your best to keep up. An adequate net connection speed will help. Dial-up speeds kind of suck, let's face it, so hopefully you can do something or go somewhere if you currently have it. Another potential kiss of death is if your computer is... outdated, shall we say which is very frustrating. Check out what you need to optimally do your gaming with the greatest advantages and rewards. If you are unsure about your computer's ability (or the internet connection's ability) to keep up, check the specs of the game. Be careful because you won't be happy if you buy, install, and then it's not working as it should.
Are some of your friends online gamers? Try to get a few together and start playing. MMORPGs can be challenging when you're out there on your own. Don't worry if none of your friends are gamers, as you can make new friends by participating in the games you love. That is the fun of the massive online games like World of Warcraft. You can meet all kinds of new people, as there are vast numbers of people from all over playing. By learning to play well and being friendly to others, you can be part of a whole new social circle very soon. The social element can make the world of online gaming even more fun.
Online games are designed and intended to be fun for all. If you let things go too far, then your ability to enjoy it will go down.
If you play like you're superior, and you're a spoiled brat; that's a fast way to people ignoring you and not wanting you around. As always... if you're a lefty, there's so much more to online gaming than having that whiz-bang left-handed mouse. Get your left-handed mouse, if you need one, and have fun.
