Pat Brabble: his Tactics on Doomsday Preppers
by Terrance Franklin
Hyperinflation shows its head once more on Doomsday Preppers. While I have gone on track record before with recent examples of hyperinflation which didn't create mass stress, those examples were dependent upon the rest of the globe sustaining relative harmony. The current illustrations were comparatively small countries in South America as well as Eastern Europe, a small percentage of the world economic climate. In the event of the US dollar declining, 26% of the world economy is at risk at least, that would be much more difficult to stop.
2. Prepping with sugar
I really hope by this point I was capable to show many factors that are the reason why sugar is not a great idea for a survival food. A diet plan highly based upon sugar as well as other carbohydrates would hurt Pat's insulin sensitivity with time, make his hunger more difficult to handle, and result in his body to cannibalize muscle in case he had to lessen calories. Bad concept all around.
3. Alcoholic beverages for barter
The idea of alcohol as a channel for exchange is interesting since it is a top grade, non-perishable item with innate value. In case of an infrastructure collapse it would be extremely hard to acquire alcohol from other parts of the country. Besides those that like alcohol, there are people who want it to deal with tension, and people who are literally addicted. This might make alcohol, along with cigarettes and other narcotics, prime real-estate in case of a collapse.
But if I were buying alcohol, I might invest in something that improves with time. Liquor in a glass bottle doesn't age, more or less, while something such as a cask of whiskey in the barrel wouldn't just keep but boost in value as time pass by . On the other hand I perhaps drink far more scotch in comparison to Mr. Brabble.
4. Supply of guns
There is surely a point of reducing returns on the quantity of guns that Pat has. Aside from people trying to form an individual militia or arm their friends and relations, practically nobody can justify having this many guns for survival reasons. Should they want to collect guns for fun or as a hobby, that's one thing. However as the quantity of guns increases, the utility is reduced and may also become adversely adapted.
The amount of weapons that Pat has require several types of ammunition. Until he focused particularly on consolidating to the most popular calibres of ammo, the assortment of cartridges would get more difficult, making things challenging if there was ever a battle or a purpose to bug out. In addition, there is just so much attention that can be given to the way to effectively function and keep a gun collection. If he had just 5 guns to focus on rather than 100 and was paying the same amounts of interest, he would acquire 20 times as much practice cleaning, assembling and shooting with each and every one.
